OUR MISSION STATEMENT The purpose of the Board of Trustees of the Treasures of Madison County, Inc. is to develop, foster, and promote Madison County's cultural heritage and its arts as experiences central to the lives of citizens of Madison County. Toward this end, it will undertake the following activities:
Initiate and participate in programs on our cultural heritage and art to benefit the citizens of Madison County.
Advise the city council and county commission concerning the arts and our cultural heritage including pending legislation.
Work closely with the Madison School District and North Florida Community College and with other educational institutions in the County on the development of appropriate cultural heritage programs.
Seek and apply for state, federal, and private funds available in support of Madison's cultural heritage activities.
Conduct ongoing planning and research of the cultural heritage of the County including facilities, and developing, updating and evaluating progress against periodic written plans for the growth of cultural appreciation in Madison County.
Develop and awareness in the business community, in local government, and in the general public of the value of cultural heritage of Madison County.
Promote and encourage the cultural diversity of the community and assist in preserving the cultural heritage of the area.
Encourage and engage in any other activities that enhance the arts and cultural life in Madison County.
